Delta Triggers was created to meet the needs of Glock enthusiasts in South Africa. As Glock is one of the most customizable and reliable pistols on the market, Glock owners wanted more out of their standard Glocks in terms of performance and feel. Delta Triggers started by creating a unique 5-stage polishing technique for trigger assembly components. The outstanding result lead to owners of other firearm pistol brands wanting trigger assembly polishing done as well, which has expanded the service offering.

Delta Triggers has since created new, application-specific, products for Glocks that include polishing plus adjustments to Pre-Travel, Over-Travel, Break Weight and Reset. These are specifically tuned for either Defensive or Competition shooting applications.
How do I get my components to Delta Triggers?
Delta Triggers has partnered with various gunsmiths and firearms dealers around South Africa. Drop your firearm off at the Gunsmith and they will dismantle the firearm and send us the specific components via courier. Once the work is complete, the parts will be sent back via courier, and the firearm will be reassembled and tested.
The firearm-savvy customers that are comfortable with dismantling their own firearms can send the specified components directly to Delta Triggers. Refer to our YouTube channel for detailed tutorials. This will be arranged via the Delta Triggers courier service.
Frequently Asked Questions about Glocks
Trigger Pull Weight Tests?
Tests were conducted in a controlled environment using a Wheeler Trigger Pull Gauge.
The firearm was placed in a vice for control purposes and the placement of the gauge was the same on the trigger for each pull.
What is Pre-Travel
Pre-travel is ultimately defined as the movement the trigger makes before the break. Pre-travel encompasses Take-up, the Wall, and Creep.
What is Take-Up?
Part of the Pre-Travel phase, Take-Up is any movement of the trigger that does not cause the sear to move and does not engage the mainspring.
What is Creep
Part of the pre-travel phase, Creep is any movement of the trigger that does cause the sear to move and does engage the mainspring. This occurs after hitting the Wall.
What is Over-Travel?
Over-Travel is any amount of trigger movement following the Break. The more Over-Travel the trigger system has, the longer the trigger Reset.
What is Trigger-Reset?
Trigger Reset is the “forward” movement of the trigger to the point that the trigger or trigger bar re-engages the striker. The speed and length of the Reset contribute to how quickly follow-up shots can be taken.
What are the differences between Connectors?
There are 3 primary OEM connectors. These include the following:
- OEM Standard 5.5lb
- OEM Dot 5.0lb
- OEM Minus 4.5lb
Each Connector had a unique angle of engagement with the sear, thus creating the specific trigger pull feel and break weight.
The Standard Connector has a heavy break weight, but a solid wall with a sharp and predictable break. These connectors come standard with Glock Gen 3 and 4 models.
The Dot Connector had a slightly lighter break weight, the wall is still solid and the break is predictable. These connectors come standard with Glock Gen 5 and Slimline models.
The Minus Connector has a light break weight, however, the wall is not as solid and the break is less predictable. It is more of a rolling break rather than a sharp break. This Connector comes standard on the Glock 34 models as it is designed for competition shooting.
How does a Competition Spring Kit work?
The following springs with associated power make up a competition spring set. Firing Pin Spring (Reduced power), Trigger Spring (Extra power), Firing Pin Safety Spring (Reduced power). The combination of these springs reduces the trigger pull weight.
Gen 3 vs Gen 4 Trigger Bar?
The Gen 3 trigger bar is a great upgrade to any Gen 4 model. The trigger shoe has no serrations, making it far more comfortable. The angle of engagement is different to the Gen 4, which reduces the trigger pull weight and actually makes the whole system feel smoother.
